Fall Tights Must Haves
Tights are essential in transforming your favorite paisley printed dress into a fall and winter outfit. For those of us that have not been blessed with slender stems, fall and winter seasons are time to celebrate.
We get to wear short skirts and dresses without loosing the insecurity of bearing too much leg. From patterns to bright colors, to two tone tights, here are some fun ways to utilize this trend to full potential.
Pair neon colored tights with a black dress for a retro feel. Play around with color and try mixing different colored tights under colored shorts, skirt or dress. Make sure to wear heels to elongate the legs. When you’re combining bright tights with other bright pieces, it’s called color blocking.
The trick is not to over do it. Keep your jewelry and accessories simple to avoid looking like a lit up Christmas tree. If you really want to be adventurous, try layering bright tights with a patterned fishnet tight on top.
Patterns And Tones
Patterned tights can add a very sexy feel to any outfit. I love wearing them under my dresses and skirts to step it up a notch. Polka dot tights are really fun and playful. I just got a pair of black tights with little polka dots and they look awesome under my short red dress with a pair of heels.
You can also add two toned tights to edge up a look. This season I love the black and white two toned tights. My advice, if you’re venturing into the two toned tights world…. make sure you wear heels.
Unless you have long sleek legs, two toned tights look most flattering when paired with high heels. You can wear boots, just make sure they have a heel. This will elongate your legs as well as improve your posture and walk.
